Common core, computer based testing, lesson planning, grading, SPED paperwork, communicating with parents, and math night are just a few of the things on a teacher's to do list. (Yes, I actually create a to-do list daily in hopes that I mark at least 2 things off each day!) Who has time to eat? Okay! Maybe that is a little dramatic but I know I've had a working lunch the last few days and can name numerous other teachers that have too. But really, who has time to workout? I am amazed at the teachers that are in amazing shape.
Well last week I had it! I am done feeling out of shape! I had a pity party for myself Sunday and then Monday I started a new eating plan and working out. So far I am feeling great! I wanted to share some great sites to try out if you are short on time and do not have time to hit the gym (even if you have a membership oops!). Being a teacher + a parent = a lot of respect from me! I do not know how you do it!
Great Ways to Get in a Quick Workout
Fit Sugar: Love this site. 10 minute workouts and several to choose from to work out every inch of your body. They even have pre-natal workouts! This has become my go to on nights where I am just not in the mood to do a good 30 minute workout or am too tired (Or any other excuse I can come up with).
Daily Burn: Currently, they have a 30 day free trial that I am trying out. So fair I love it. You can search workout by type, amount of time, or by trainer. The workouts are fun and the trainers are very personable. Plus you can get it on your smartphone or the computer. This is the app I am using for my diet plan too. It has a chow down list and a forget about it list. I have printed it out and on my fridge.
Nike Training Club App: I love this app. I used all summer and then school started. They have 15, 30, and 45 minute workouts. Do not expect these workouts to be easy! You will be sweating like a student you caught cheating!
Of course, you can always take a walk with your kids (or dog that is your child if you are like me).
There are so many benefits to working out. My stamina during school has greatly increased during the day. I have also been sleeping better. If you have any other workout websites, please let me know!
Have a Great Night,

I LOVE the "Daily Workout Apps". They have ones for abs, arms, butt, cardio, leg, yoga, and exercise ball. They have a free version with 1 workout, or if you buy the full version for $.99 I think you get 3 different workouts and each of those workouts can be customized in length - usually 5, 7, or 10 minutes. Then you can do a couple different target zones if you're really into it. I love this app for on the go. I can never have an excuse for not working out...even thought I still manage to find an excuse....
We are ALL Special!
Karlie,
I have bought the free versions. I forgot to add those! Hope your having a great school year!
